With the help of hemoglobin, the body red blood cells transport oxygen which provides energy to every cell in the body. If hemoglobin is deficient or the red blood cells are few, enough oxygen will not reach the cells. This will make the body to become weak. The person will experience heart palpitations and breathlessness even in little exercise. Dizziness, headache irritability difficulty in concentration, fainting spells are symptoms of anemia.
